About the event

A mood board (or inspiration board) is a collage of ideas that’s commonly used in fields like interior design, fashion, and graphic design. It can include just about anything — photography, designs or illustrations, color palettes, textures, descriptive words — anything that helps you define the direction of your project. Join us in creating your own Mood Board and learn about layout techniques and how to put your board together for a presentation - or just create your own personal inspiration board!

Join us for this super fun and creative workshop! Bring a group and make it a fun experience for friends and family.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE?:

  • Expert Tuition from a Mood U Team Member
  • Presentation board approx 15" x 20" (1 piece per participant)
  • Fabric Scissors and/or Paper Scissors
  • Hot glue; craft glue or similar adhesive materials
  • Double-sided Tape

*Please note, equipment listed is for use in-store only and is not for participants to keep (excluding board). All items are to be handed back at the end of the workshop. You may bring your own supplies also.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO CLASS:

All participants will need to bring plenty of images/photos (at least 20 small to medium sized images) from printouts or magazines to be used in your inspiration collage. You will also need plenty of fabric swatches (at least 20) that can be sourced at Mood Fabrics NYC before your class starts.

The more images and fabrics you have, the more exciting your moodboard will be!

You may also need these items, available for purchase in-store at Mood Fabrics NYC.

  • Sketch 'Marker Pad' for your illustrations (optional)
  • Colored markers and pencils (optional)
