About the event

Modern wrap dresses were popularized by designer Diane von Furstenberg in the 1970s and have remained in style ever since. They are comfortable, stylish, flattering for every figure, and appropriate for most occasions. Most wrap dress patterns are easy to customize with your choice of fabric, sleeve length and bodice style to create a look that is all your own.

(Note: INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED experience in garment sewing will be required for this workshop)

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO CLASS: These items are available for purchase in-store at Mood Fabrics NYC.

Fabric and trims for your project:

You will need a medium weight jersey knit fabric for this project. We recommend a rayon jersey or silk jersey. If you visit Mood Fabrics and speak to the sales associates they can also recommend options. We suggest doing this ahead of your workshop date if possible.

We suggest you take swatches of a few options - we will allocate time in the morning of the workshop to purchase your final choice of jersey knit fabric.

In the workshop introduction we will determine what size dress you will be making and this will influence how many yards of fabric will be required.

You are welcome to email us at info@moodu.com with any specific questions about fabric yardage prior to your workshop.
